Description
Tatted Lace is a brand new design for my Lace series! Every collection features a different Lace, which are hands-down my most desired designs ever. The Laces almost always sell out before any other piece. Each Lace is inspired by the theme and typically features hidden imagery. Laces are seamless, highly detailed, and always feature a stone on the face. Laces always take a lot more love but are worth it every time… so I try to really give them killer one-of-a-kind stones. Tatted Lace is inspired by the traditional Victorian method of hand tatting lace. Durable laces were formed using a series of knots and loops, typically made by either a small handheld shuttle or needle. The earliest recording of tatting lace is dated back to 1859 so is thought to have originated some time in the early 1800s. It is thought that tatting may have developed from the decorative rope work and netting sailors would put together for their women. In metaphysical circles, knots are widely incorporated into magical workings to bind positive manifestations or to unbind negativity. Within the tiny knots of tatted lace you will see swirling flowers and dainty hidden butterflies.
- This design has been paired with a premium grade Super Seven gemstone. True premium grade Super Seven is rarer and more expensive than most gemstones because the mine from which it is exclusively mined is completely under water. One of the only ways to get true Super Seven is to physically go to the location and hunt down old stock and we happen to be in luck! One of my most trusted (and local) gemstone dealers frequently travels all over Brazil, including the tiny southeastern coastal state known as Espírito Santo. Each piece of Super Seven was hand curated just for YOU. What makes these specimens extra premium are their perfect inclusions of Amethyst, Cacoxenite, Goethite, Lepidocrocite, Rutile, Smoky Quartz, and Quartz. Crystal Ball Rollerball Necklaces feature my signature spheres permanently post-mounted in the style of fine pearls! Each one is drilled by hand so that it can be fitted with the perfect cup and post. This is a popular technique used by other fine jewelers on pearl jewelry, modified to suit my crystal balls. Each crystal ball is doubly reinforced with a sturdy decorative base, creating my unique floating effect. This crystal ball in particular has also been bejeweled with matching Antique Velvet Swarovski crystals.
Fringed Rollerball Necklaces feature my signature chain fringe, inspired by the fringe jewelry of the roaring 20’s. Fringe is found in two different styles; either diamond cut chain or bar chain. Each strand is held perfectly with tension so they’re never out of place! At the end of each chain is a sterling silver pendulum charm.
Charmed Ones feature charms and castings collected from small artisanal shops and are made with solid sterling silver. This rollerball necklace incorporates two delicate butterfly charms.
The Gemstone featured on this Rollerball Necklace is Super Seven. Crystals and stones found within my collections are gem-quality specimens curated by artisanal lapidaries and family operated mines. These gemstones were curated especially for my rollerball necklaces.
Super Seven Super Seven is an extremely rare mineral with seven crystals in one. The crystals are Amethyst, Cacoxenite, Goethite, Lepidocrocite, Rutile, Smoky Quartz, and Quartz (which all the minerals are usually naturally encased in). This unique mineral only has one small locality in the entire world, and that mine is currently flooded and underwater— but some very exclusive premium pieces still exist! In Metaphysical circles, Super Seven is the key ingredient to accessing the spirit realm and unlocking the ancient knowledge within. The high frequency of this stone helps one attune their energy to that of the Cosmos, allowing one to better understand their celestial purpose. Super Seven is believed to connect us with our past lived experiences. It is thought that past lives contain wisdom carried over multiple lifetimes. The unique blend of minerals in Super Seven helps to unlock your hidden internal wisdom.
The Crystal Ball featured on this Rollerball Necklace is Amethyst. Crystals and stones found within my collections are gem-quality specimens curated by artisanal lapidaries and family operated mines. These crystals were curated especially for my rollerball necklaces.
Amethyst is the most valuable crystal in the quartz family. Amethyst gets its purple color from iron oxide in the quartz, and it has more iron than any other type of quartz. After the stone crystalizes, radioactive gamma rays from deep inside the earth irradiate the iron, turning it purple. (These formations happened millions of years ago, Amethyst is not radioactive). Amethyst was once called the “Gem of Fire” in ancient times because it was thought to contain the fire energy from the belly of the earth, an energy that is creative, passionate, and spiritual. In a way, the ancients were correct! In the metaphysical world, Amethyst connects with the Divine. It is thought the deeper the hue, the higher the iron content, the stronger the connection. This connection is what makes Amethyst the ideal stone for creatives, often even being called the Artist’s Stone.
Rollerball Necklaces are customizable in length and coupled with a sterling silver chain. Chains feature a .925 diamond cut. Full Metal Rollerball Necklaces come with a 2ml bottle wrapped in solid silver. Necklaces arrive with a roller since oils are the most common use, but are entirely optional and can be sealed with anything of your choosing! Necklaces are further customizable by removing the roller from the bottle and many customers have opted to use their necklaces for keepsakes, specimens, or memorials. Bottles are shown with an inert carrier, but essential oils are not included. Rollerball necklaces are refillable and coupled with a refill/care kit. If you would like to purchase more bottles in other sizes or colors find glass bottles here or consider adding extra crystal energy with a gemstone roller bottle here. Full Metal pieces are interchangeable with any bottle or necklace from Bead and Bones.
