Night Thistle is a brand new design! Night Thistle is inspired by my home in the Rocky Mountains where the Summers are filled with giant thistles as tall as a person. There is something haunting and beautiful about a prehistoric plant covered in thorns capturing the endless attention of tiny bees and delicate butterflies. Insects of all varieties literally swarm the fluffy purple tops of the thistles. To capture their beauty, I’ve depicted the Night Thistle under a crescent moon and starry sky in the Art Deco style which influences me so greatly. Unbeknownst to most, the Thistle is actually a relative of the Sunflower. In ancient France, the thistle was called both the “Herb of Witches” as well as “Flower of the Sun”. They believed that witches could not look into the sun (as thistles do) so thought of them as an icon to ward off evil. To the Celts, the thistle was a symbol of durability, strength, determination, and devotion. To the Victorians, it was a talisman for warding off unwanted meddling; a symbol of protection. In metaphysical circles, thistles are used for protection, prosperity, endurance, and vitality.
Fringed Rollerball Necklaces feature my signature chain fringe, inspired by the fringe jewelry of the roaring 20’s. Fringe is found in two different styles; either diamond cut chain or bar chain. Each strand is held perfectly with tension so they’re never out of place! At the end of each chain is a sterling silver seed pod charm.
Charmed Ones feature charms and castings collected from small artisanal shops and are made with solid sterling silver. This rollerball necklace incorporates two stunning double sided thistles cast from an antique die.
