Description
Fairy Lace was inspired by the artworks and designs indicative of the art nouveau movement. Art Nouveau was most popular from 1890 – 1910. It was often inspired by natural forms such as the sinuous curves of plants and flowers. One major objective of Art Nouveau was to break down the traditional distinction between fine arts (especially painting and sculpture) and applied arts. It was most widely used in interior design, graphic arts, furniture, glass art, textiles, ceramics, metal work, and jewelry. In true Art Nouveau fashion the inspiration behind my chosen design is Polypore Mushrooms. To highlight the natural beauty of a polypore formation, I have chosen the Art Nouveau style similar to Alphonse Mucha. Polypores are a group of fungi that form large fruiting bodies with gills on the underside. Most polypores inhabit tree trunks or branches consuming the wood, but some soil-inhabiting species form interconnected systems with trees. Polypores play a very significant role in the nutrient cycling and carbon dioxide production of forest ecosystems. There are over a thousand known species of polypores but many have yet to be discovered. Polypores are much more diverse in old natural forests with abundant dead wood than in plantations or younger managed forests. Due to logging and deforestation a number of species have declined drastically and are under threat of extinction.

Crystal Ball Rollerball Necklaces feature my signature spheres permanently post-mounted in the style of fine pearls! Each one is drilled by hand so that it can be fitted with the perfect cup and post. This is a popular technique used by other fine jewelers on pearl jewelry, modified to suit my crystal balls. Each crystal ball is doubly reinforced with a sturdy decorative base, creating my unique floating effect. This crystal ball in particular has also been bejeweled with matching Peridot Swarovski crystals. All rollerball necklaces designed with fringe fit 2ml bottles only.
Charmed Ones feature charms and castings collected from small artisanal shops and are made with solid sterling silver. This rollerball necklace incorporates a stunning pair of realistic Dragonfly wings.
Fringed Rollerball Necklaces feature my signature chain fringe, inspired by the fringe jewelry of the roaring 20’s. Fringe is found in two different styles; either diamond cut chain or bar chain. Each strand is held perfectly with tension so they’re never out of place! At the end of each chain is a pendulum with a double moon focal.
Rollerball Necklaces are coupled with a sterling silver chain that is customized to your preferred length. Chains feature a .925 diamond cut. Necklaces arrive with a roller since oils are the most common use but are entirely optional. You can fill your bottles with whatever you like! Many customers have opted to use their necklaces for keepsakes, specimens, or memorials. Bottles are photographed with an inert carrier for demonstration only, essential oils are not included. Rollerball necklaces are refillable and coupled with a refill/care kit. If you would like to purchase more bottles in other sizes or colors find glass bottles here or consider adding extra crystal energy with a gemstone roller bottle here.
