WELCOME

Below is an outline of our policy details. Please read carefully before placing your order. Once you have placed an order, you will be asked to acknowledge having read & understood our shop policies.

All items are Ready-to-Ship unless otherwise stated. Please allow up to 1-3 business days to process Ready-to-Ship items. Current production time for Made-to-Order items is 2-3 weeks from purchase date.

We are committed to keeping our production local whenever possible; working with small, independent businesses & companies based in our hometown of Denver, as well as other US based vendors.

Bead and Bones is committed to providing genuine and efficient customer service. Should you have any questions or concerns regarding your order before placing it or after you have received it, please contact melanie@beadandbones.com and we will take care of you.

PAYMENT

All major Credit Cards are accepted.

Paypal is easy to use and can be linked to your bank account or credit card. The site is very secure and offers both buyer and seller protection.

SHIPPING

Expedited shipping is available for purchase at checkout. Please note that shipping estimates cannot be guaranteed. (During Christmas time shipping estimates double). Shipping estimates are as follows:

North America: 3-5 business days
Europe: 1-5 weeks
Australia, New Zealand and Oceania: 1-5 weeks
Asia Pacific: 3-5 weeks
Latin America and the Caribbean: 3-5 weeks
North Africa and the Middle East: 3-5 weeks

US CLIENTS:

Expect to receive your order between 3-5 days via USPS First-Class Mail. We recommend adding signature confirmation to your order to ensure it safely reaches you as it confirms both to USPS and to us that your order has been received. If you are not home for delivery, it will be taken to your local post office for pickup or your postal worker will make attempt to redeliver. This varies in different states. Please select your most secure shipping address.

Bead and Bones is not responsible for the loss or theft of a package once it has left the studio. Insurance does not cover theft but covers damage due to rough handling via USPS. At this time we do not offer an insurance option for shipping, but if this is something you would like added to your purchase, please send an email prior to ordering to melanie@beadandbones.com.

INTERNATIONAL CLIENTS

First Class International mail services are available via checkout. You can expect to receive your order between 2 weeks – 2 months (in rare cases) and is dependent on your country’s custom laws. Unfortunately, this shipping method does not provide a tracking number. Once a package leaves US borders, there is no way to locate it. Please ensure you are shipping to the most secure address available and know that your country may hold your package at customs for an unspecified amount of time.

Every country outside the US will have import taxes and/or duty fees and vary individually. It is your responsibility to be aware of your country’s custom laws as well as your responsibility to pay any additional taxes and/or duty fees attached to importing from the US. Custom laws differ from country to country and some countries will hold your order for pick up. If you decline to retrieve your package from customs within their turn-around time and it is shipped back, it is your responsibility to purchase additional shipping.

REFUNDS AND EXCHANGES

Due to the unique handmade nature and limited editions of these items, we do not accept refunds or exchanges.

Please know this is a firm policy. Make an informed purchase by reading through this policy section and asking any questions before purchasing via melanie@beadandbones.com. Know that should a legitimate issue arise with an order, we will do our absolute best to work with you to find a solution. It’s our utmost goal that you are happy with your order.

Our clients will alway be treated with kindness and understanding. We ask that you treat us likewise.

REPAIR POLICIES & FEES

If a piece is received defective or damaged, the item must be returned within 7 days of delivery. I will make necessary repairs and return it to you as soon as possible, au gratis.

Repair requests outside the typical 7-day repair policy are subject to repair fees. Items purchased outside the official beadandbones.com (i.e. Facebook, Poshmark, etc.) are also subject to repair fees. Repair fees will be established at the time of receipt or via e-mail if substantial photos can be provided.

REPAIR POLICY STEPS:

  • Please email me at melanie@beadandbones.com with your Order Number and photos of the item. Detailed photos are greatly appreciated.
  • Customers are responsible for shipping costs associated with all returns. It is recommended that packages are insured for the value of the returned item. Bead and Bones is not responsible for jewelry lost or further damaged in the mail. Please ship via USPS Priority Mail or Priority International.
  • My studio repair address will be provided via e-mail. Please mail the piece to my studio in a box (no paper or padded envelopes).
  • Please enclose the original packaging, your Order Number, the jewelry piece that needs repairs, and I will do my best to return your piece like new within 4 weeks.
  • For repairs being sent from outside the US, please indicate the International Transaction Number or ITN is “NOEEI 30.37(a)”. The Harmonized Commodity Description and Coding System or HS Tariff Number is “7113.11”. The description must include, “US goods returning to US to repair under warranty”. Failure to do so may result in extra duties/taxes upon the customer.

Bead and Bones is not responsible for broken or lost stones, however I offer stone replacements for a reasonable replacement fee. If a stone requires replacement, you will be contacted via email. Please be aware that not all stones have an identical replacement.

Due to the nature of Bead and Bones pieces, it is normal for patina to develop over time. In order to ensure your piece maintains its appearance, please avoid sleeping, swimming, or showering while wearing your piece. Avoid colliding or grinding your piece against surfaces, dropping your piece on hard surfaces, and overall rough-handling. Do not attempt to bend or manipulate parts. Take care to store your pieces individually in a sealed, dry place when not being worn. Exposure to air and moisture accelerates the patina process.

Crystals are stone but can be fragile, so extra care should be taken when wearing to maintain quality and appearance.

Please note that pieces repaired or modified outside of my studio invalidates the warranty and is subject to additional fees.

I respectfully reserve the right to decline unreasonable repairs.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data
